Luke’ role as the General Manager is primarily based around the day to day running of Webster Energy Services Ltd.

This involves development of the company’s goals & strategic direction with the company Directors, implementation of growth strategies, business & budget management and tracking, rig systems design, rig logistics, equipment compliance planning, and building and training rig crews that perform to our high standards.

Luke has spent 25 years in the energy & general drilling contracting background, working in the civil, seismic, scientific, geothermal and oil and gas sectors.

Level 4 IWCF – Surface Well Control Certificate.

Grade A Geothermal Bore Manager License.

CIMS Level 4 Emergency Management training

Michelle is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration, including managing accounts for New Zealand and international operations to ensure timely payment of wages and invoices. She oversees HR processes and supports the wellbeing of all staff, contributing to a positive workplace. Michelle has worked at WDE for 26 years, and holds a Diploma in Business and Diploma in Management.

Experienced / Expert in operating Xero accounting software.

Adam primary role is managing the Webster workshop, he is also the resident mechanical and hydraulic system specialist, and plays a key role in leading rig design and manufacture.

As the Webster workshop manager, Adam is responsible for the maintenance and manufacture of drilling equipment for seismic, Geotech, scientific, Oil & Gas Rigs.

He has over 20 years of mechanical engineering experience, including 13 years in the drilling industry.  Adam has had extensive involvement in geotechnical and scientific projects across New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific Islands and Antarctica.

He is skilled in the maintenance and manufacture of drilling equipment for seismic, geotechnical, scientific, and oil & gas applications, with advanced proficiency in CAD design and modelling.

Rhys ensures the health and safety of everyone involved in the work carried out by Webster Exploration and Webster Energy. This includes maintaining robust safety systems, fostering a strong safety culture, and providing targeted reporting and insights to support continuous improvement for both the organisation and its clients.

He has 25 years’ experience in high‑risk industries, including 13 years as a health and safety manager or senior adviser. His work focuses on supporting frontline teams through training, coaching, and development to improve safety outcomes, strengthen safety understanding, and enhance feedback into systems and initiatives.
